Amy Berlean brings over 20 years of expertise in nonprofit management, with a specialized focus on Development. Her passion for nonprofit work is evident in her belief that “there is nothing like creating a relationship with someone over charitable giving.” Amy champions integrity, authenticity, and honesty as the foundational traits every successful fundraiser should embody.
A graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Journalism, Amy began her career in radio news, where she honed her communication skills for three years before transitioning to the nonprofit sector—a move she has embraced wholeheartedly. Throughout her career, Amy has led numerous successful fundraising initiatives, including multi-million-dollar capital campaigns, the establishment of a $30-million endowment fund, and the orchestration of signature events that have significantly advanced organizational missions.
In addition to her fundraising accomplishments, Amy has been instrumental in developing and refining key policies related to Grants, Volunteers, and Board Development. Her strategic leadership in these areas has strengthened organizational frameworks and enhanced overall effectiveness in mission advancement.
In December 2023, Amy relocated to Arizona, where she enjoys exploring the state’s vibrant hiking trails, diverse restaurants, and lively festivals. An avid reader, Amy is rarely seen without a book in her backpack, always prepared to seize a spontaneous moment for reading and personal growth.
